Undergraduate Admissions

International Applicants

In addition to following the standard admission steps as a first-year or transfer applicant, you should be aware of the following requirements.

English Proficiency

We require all students, regardless of citizenship, permanent residency or type of curriculum to demonstrate English proficiency.

First-Year Students

Students who have not completed years 10-12 in an approved English speaking country will be required to submit test scores to verify English Language Proficiency. We will accept ACT, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo English Test. All English proficiency scores must be taken within 2 years of desired entry term. We do not waive this requirement, and therefore all students must satisfy it through one of the methods as listed above.

Check out our Class Profile to learn more about how your scores compare with other admitted students.

Transfer Students

All transfer students must meet one of our listed conditions to satisfy our minimum English proficiency requirement.

Academic Information

First-Year Students

First year applicants will self-report all academic information including coursework and external exam results. Official materials are not considered or accepted at the time of application. Any official materials received will not be saved.

Transfer Students

All students are required to submit proof of secondary school completion/graduation at the time of application. The completion of secondary school should allow you to attend a competitive university in your home country.

  • China—Submit high school transcripts with graduation month/year or graduation certificate.
  • United Kingdom—Grades for your previous college semester are required. This includes Fall grades if you are applying for Fall intake and Spring grades if you are applying for Spring intake. If you are not able to obtain Fall grades in the middle of your year, you must apply for Spring or wait to apply until Fall grades can be received.
  • Malaysia—Submit SPM exams if taken. If you did not take SPM exams, A levels or GED required.
  • Canada—Students in Quebec CEGEP program should apply as first year. Two years of CEGEP are required for first year entry.
  • Polytechnic Students (Singapore and India)—Students who complete lower secondary (usually year 10) and then study for two years or more at a polytechnic school must apply as first year.

Required Military Service

If you're from a country that requires military service upon completion of secondary education, you shouldn't apply until this obligation has been met. We won't delay admission in this case.

Homeschooling

Homeschooled applicants are reviewed on a case by case basis. If you are homeschooled outside the USA, we require a GED be taken prior to enrollment.
