Tips for Scheduling Your Visit

  1. We recommend attending an admissions info session/tour and an academic meeting. Unique information is included in each.
  2. Select any program below, and you’ll have the option to add additional programs while registering.
  3. Academic meetings vary in availability, but admissions info sessions/tours are offered consistently. Starting with an academic meeting when scheduling may help.

Prospective Info Sessions & Campus Tours

Held most weekdays and select Saturdays, these events are around two-and-a-half hours in length. They begin with a 45-minute presentation on our admissions process and how you'll harness your power at UIUC, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session with current students. A student will then lead you on an hour-and-a-half walking tour through the heart of campus.

Admitted Student Days

These large, day-long events begin with a presentation on your next steps as an admitted student and how you'll unleash your power at UIUC, followed by a Q&A session with current students. You'll then have opportunities to tour campus and attend sessions hosted by the major you were admitted to, Housing, and Financial Aid. You can expect your visit to end mid-afternoon.

Admitted Student Days will be available in mid-February.

This large, day-long event begins with a presentation on your next steps as an admitted student and how you'll unleash your power at UIUC, followed by a Q&A session with current students. You'll then have opportunities to tour campus and attend sessions hosted by the major you were admitted to, Housing, and Financial Aid. You can expect your visit to end mid-afternoon.

Admitted Transfer Student Days will be available in mid-February.

High school groups of 8 to 50 students are welcome to visit UIUC through our free program. In addition to this two- to three-hour event, you’re also able to schedule a session with a cultural house. While we don’t provide lunch, groups may bring sack lunches, eat at the Illini Union, explore local restaurants on their own, or purchase dining hall tickets.

Join our Grainger Engineering tour guides for a 60-minute walking tour of our two engineering quads, located north of Green Street. You'll have the opportunity to see inside our buildings and visit some lab spaces you won't want to miss.

Housing Tours

The Admissions campus tour includes a housing tour of our Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Halls. Additional housing tours are offered from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. every weekday and select Saturdays. Walk-in tours offered through University Housing include Nugent Hall or a more in-depth look at Illinois Street Residence (ISR) Halls. You can also pre-arrange a Private Certified Housing tour directly with the facility of your choice.
