Open Events

When you sign up for IlliniFest, you'll register for all the events you're planning to attend the day of the big event and will receive an agenda of those events via email. Note that the following events don't require registration, so if you have some free time in your schedule, we encourage you to check them out, too!

Join us in learning about ways to be a successful Illini, and the many opportunities that exist at Illinois! Stop by any time between 10:00am and 2:00pm to explore offices and resources on campus that provide support for you to reach your personal, academic, and professional goals. There is also an IlliniFest Information Center to assist with any questions you might have for the day. We're excited to talk with you!

Do you have questions about the financial aid process or timeline? Are there additional requirements you need to complete but aren't sure what to do? Stop by OSFA with a valid photo ID and we can review your financial aid status with you. Parents (with ID) who are on the FAFSA welcome.

Join us for lunch in our newest and largest university-owned dining center. Today's menu can be found on the University Housing website. We're a cashless operation but are happy to take credit card or Apple/Google Pay at the checker stand.

9:00a–3:00p Main Library
The Main Library building will be open from 9:00a–5:00p. We plan to offer self-guided tour options and staff-led tours between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, starting in the Library Gallery, located on Floor 1. Central Access Services, the Literatures and Languages Library, and the Social Science Health and Education Library all plan to be open 9:00a–5:00p. Library HR plans to be on site to host a table relating to library employment.
9:00a–3:00p Funk ACES Library
Discover Funk ACES Library's many resources, services, and study spaces. We will be open starting at 9:00, and will offer three tours that day at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm, starting near the Circulation Desk on Floor 2.
9:00a–3:00p Grainger Engineering Library Information Center
GELIC will be open starting at 9:00a, as will the IDEALab, and tours will be offered on the :15 and :45, starting at the 1st floor information desk from 9:15a–12:45p.

Discover Music and Performing Arts Library's many resources, services, and study spaces.
9:00a–3:00p Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Explore historical and cultural sites around campus during the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scavenger Hunt. Participate by visiting and taking pictures at places that represent and celebrate the diversity of Illinois. When completed, visit our office for an Illinois souvenir!

1:00p–1:30p Krannert Center for the Performing Arts
Krannert Center for the Performing Arts welcomes students who are not planning to major in performance but want to be involved in theater, music and/or dance while in college. Come learn about opportunities to stay connected to the performing arts and see the large-scale performing arts center on our campus.

Admitted Illini Families, join us for Sustainapalooza! Celebrate Earth Month on the Main Quad from 1:00p–6:00p. Co-sponsored by the Student Sustainability Leadership Council and the Illini Union Board, this festival showcases sustainable fun, live music, great food, eco-friendly arts & crafts shopping, and campus engagement & education.
