You can accept your offer of admission any time up until May 15. To do so, you must submit a nonrefundable acceptance fee of $150 using a credit or debit card. This must be done before completing most of the following steps on the checklist (you can apply for financial aid and check its status beforehand). If you were approved for an application fee waiver, the acceptance fee will be waived.
If you're interested in financial aid, we encourage you to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible and have it sent to UIUC. If you've already submitted your FAFSA, please note that we won't be able to confirm we've received it until March due to a delay in the Department of Education sending FAFSA information to schools. We hope to send out Financial Aid Notifications in mid-April. International students are not eligible for financial aid and don't submit the FAFSA.
After you've accepted your offer of admission, claim and set your NetID and NetID password. You'll frequently use your NetID to access resources on campus. To claim and set your NetID and NetID password, you need your Activation Code and University Identification Number (UIN), both of which are available when you log in to myIllini.
You should wait 24 hours after accepting the university's offer of admission before applying for University Housing. At that time, you may complete your contract online with your housing application fee or apply online with a Private Certified Housing facility. Private Certified Housing halls fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so deadlines to guarantee space vary.
Transfer students may have the option to live in off-campus housing, but they should contact the Housing Information Office before signing a lease. First-year students must live in University Housing or Private Certified Housing. During registration, you’ll meet with academic advisors and register for fall courses. Students outside driving distance to campus may have the option to complete registration through an online appointment. Sign-up begins in mid-March.
You must complete your placement exams at least two weeks before you participate in your registration program, or your appointment may be subject to cancellation. Placement exams will be available in May. Note that they may not be required for some transfer students.
Each academic program requires all incoming students to complete a pre-advising worksheet. You must complete this worksheet at least two weeks before you participate in your registration program. Pre-advising worksheets will be available in May.
If you reported test scores within the application, send official scores directly from the testing agency. Official test scores not yet received will be listed on your admitted checklist in myIllini. We must receive official scores by July 1. If you're enrolling in the summer term, the deadline is June 1. We highly recommend that official scores are submitted prior to your New Student Registration appointment.
You must send official documentation of all courses and grades submitted through the application, including year 12 and high school graduation, by July 1. Transcripts need to be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
If you're enrolling in the summer term, the deadline is June 1. Any AP or IB scores should be sent through the testing agency to receive UIUC credit.

We must approve changes to your high school or college schedule before you make them as they could impact your admission status. If you're planning a change in your schedule, submit the online Course Change Form found at the bottom of your admitted checklist in myIllini.
Once a month, an email will be sent to you through your UIUC email address, reminding you to view your student account for recent activity and to make any payments by the due date. We don't mail paper billing statements.
To allow parents to view and make payments, you must grant them access to your account as an Authorized Payer. To receive a refund for a credit balance on the account, you must sign up for direct deposit. Funds won't be withdrawn from a bank account set up for direct deposit purposes.

Immunization forms must be completed and submitted to McKinley Health Center by July 1. International students may bring completed forms to campus.

International students who require an I-20 must submit the online I-20 application. Our SEVIS school codes are CHI214F01070000 for F-1 visa holders and P-1-00209 for J-1 visa holders.
The Student Health Insurance Plan is assessed to each student. If you have private health insurance, you may opt out of the Student Health Insurance Plan. Read more about student health insurance
Students with disabilities must contact Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) to request and obtain disability-related assistance at least six weeks prior to the first day of classes in order to allow adequate time to make the necessary accommodation arrangements.
