Community: The residence hall is a great place to build smaller communities on a large campus.

A large campus can be intimidating to many students, but with a large campus comes many opportunities.

While the Illinois campus is large—272 major buildings on 1,458 acres—your student will find a place among a number of smaller communities of shared interest, support, and experience while at Illinois.

Residence halls, academic programs, intramural teams, sororities or fraternities, and study groups offer great avenues for students to connect and create smaller communities.
