I visited campus during the summer and have already been admitted. Will I benefit from visiting again?
Many students choose to visit campus several times when making a final decision. From January to April, our 10 a.m. Daily Visits focus on information for admitted students, including placement testing, summer registration, and housing.
How do I get to campus?
Champaign-Urbana is easily accessed by I-72, I-74, and I-57. If you’re flying, you can fly directly into University of Illinois Willard Airport (code CMI). The airport is about 5 miles south of Champaign, just off U.S. Route 45.
Travel instructions are included when a reservation is made for a visit. Our office is located at 901 West Illinois Street in Urbana, but please check the location of your event in your instructions since programs are held across campus.
Where do I park when visiting?
Visit programs are held at different locations across campus, so please check your event confirmation email for parking information. No free parking is available. Metered parking ($1 per hour) is offered in lot D-9 on the corner of Lincoln and Illinois Streets in Urbana. Additional metered parking is available on the street or in lots near our office and the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. If you forget to bring change, it can be made at our program check-in table.
